Incident Summary:

07/18/2019: Assailants attacked the convoy of Action Against Hunger aid workers in Kennari, near Damasak, Borno, Nigeria. At least one driver was killed and one aid worker, two drivers, and three other health workers were abducted in the incident. One hostage was executed September 25, 2019 and four other hostages were killed on December 13, 2019. The fate of the last hostage is unknown. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
