07/14/2019: Assailants fired rockets that landed and detonated in New Aleppo neighborhood, Aleppo, Syria. This was one of two projectile attacks in and around Aleppo on the same day. At least six people were killed and eight other people were injured across both incidents. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to Muslim extremists.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
