07/12/2019: Assailants set up a blockade and attempted to abduct Oba David Olajide, a traditional ruler, from his vehicle near the Police Command Headquarters in Akure, Akure North, Ondo, Nigeria. There were no reported casualties in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
