Incident Summary:

05/29/2019: Assailants attacked a security checkpost in Kohistan district, Faryab, Afghanistan. This was one of three attacks against security checkposts in Kohistan on this day. At least 14 people, including 13 soldiers and one militia fighter, were killed, three soldiers and two assailants were injured, and two soldiers were taken prisoner across the attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
