Incident Summary:

05/25/2019: Assailants opened fire on a convoy of soldiers and civilians in Damboa, Borno, Nigeria. At least 20 people, including both soldiers and civilians, were killed and several vehicles were set on fire in the assault. An unknown number of people were reported missing and their whereabouts are unknown. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
