04/28/2019: Assailants attacked a local police checkpoint in Obe district, Herat, Afghanistan. One police officer and one civilian were killed while four officers were taken hostage. The outcome of the abduction is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
