Incident Summary:
04/27/2019: An assailant entered Chabad of Poway Synagogue and opened fire on worshipers in Poway, California, United States. At least one person was killed and three people, including the rabbi of the synagogue, were injured in the assault. John T. Earnest was arrested in connection with the attack and posted a manifesto on 8chan and Facebook prior to the incident in which he stated that he believed "every Jew is responsible for the meticulously planned genocide of the European race." Earnest further espoused white supremacist ideology and stated "I hate anyone who seeks the destruction of my race."

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
