Incident Summary:

04/26/2019: Assailants attacked a Nigerian Army base in Mararrabar Kimba, Borno, Nigeria. At least five soldiers were killed, eight soldiers were injured and an unknown number of other soldiers were reported missing in the assault. It is unknown whether the assailants sustained any casualties. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
