Incident Summary:

04/07/2019: Assailants opened fire on Cameroonian soldiers in Fotokol, Extreme-North, Cameroon. At least three soldiers and 12 assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. It is unknown whether the clash resulted in any other casualties. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
