Incident Summary:
03/24/2019: Assailants attacked Ngagam, Diffa, Niger. This was one of four coordinated incidents in Diffa overnight. At least seven people were killed and an unknown number of others wounded across the attacks. Another two people were abducted in this attack and the outcome of the abduction is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incidents to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
