03/23/2019: An explosive device detonated near NBC News journalists and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) members in Baghuz, Deir ez-Zor, Syria. At least one journalist was killed in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
