Incident Summary:

02/14/2019: Assailants abducted 14 Tunisian oil workers and their bus driver as they traveled to the Zawiya oil refinery in Zawiya, Libya. The bus driver was released shortly after the abduction. The remaining fourteen hostages were rescued by security forces on February 17, 2019. Tribesmen claimed responsibility for the incident and demanded the release of Kamal al-Lafi al-Hijaoui, a tribal member jailed in Tunisia for drug trafficking.
