02/13/2019: Assailants opened fire on civilians attempting to flee and held other people hostage in Baghuz, Deir ez-Zor, Syria. There were an unknown number of casualties in the assault and the hostages were released later the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
