01/30/2019: An assailant threw a grenade at a mosque in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines. At least two civilians were killed and four civilians were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) may have been involved in the attack.
