01/23/2019: Assailants abducted two civilians, including Vale Vanja Kudyami and his wife, Messy, near Bhamragad, Maharashtra, India. Messy was released and Kudyami was killed on January 30, 2019. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the victims were targeted because Kudyami was a police informant.
