01/15/2019: Assailants abducted Kirk Woodman, a Canadian national, at Progress Minerals mining exploration site in Tiabongou, Sahel, Burkina Faso. Woodman was found dead the following day. The Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS) claimed responsibility for the attack.
