Incident Summary:

01/14/2019: Assailants attacked a military base in Rann, Borno, Nigeria. The assailants also set fire to a hospital, a school, and government buildings in the incident. At least seven people, including three soldiers, were killed and an unknown number of other people were injured in the attack. Additionally, an unknown number of people were reported missing following the incident. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
