01/10/2019: Assailants abducted Sara Sofia Vargas from her residence in Chimichagua district, Cesar, Colombia. Vargas, a cattle rancher, was rescued by security forces on March 3, 2019. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents.
