12/25/2018: Assailants opened fire on military checkpoints in Almar district, Faryab, Afghanistan. At least 10 people, including eight assailants and two soldiers, were killed and seven people, including five assailants and two soldiers, were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
