Incident Summary:
12/24/2018: Assailants attacked a military convoy along Damaturu-Maiduguri Road near Damaturu, Yobe, Nigeria. At least 14 people, including 13 soldiers and one police officer, were killed and an unknown number of others were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
