11/02/2018: An assailant set fires at an unknown number of Yeshivas and synagogues in Brooklyn, New York City, United States. There were no reported casualties in the attack. This was one of two related arsons in Williamsburg on the same day. The assailant was arrested in connection with these and other incidents, including writing "Hitler," "Jews better be ready," and "Die Jew rats we are here" at Union Temple.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
