Incident Summary:

11/01/2018: Assailants abducted six civilians from Kherbari, Assam, India. Five of the hostages were shot and killed while the sixth hostage escaped later the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Paresh Barua subgroup of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), which the group denied.
