10/16/2018: Assailants opened fire on police officers responding to an earlier incident in Villa, Aurora, Philippines. One police officer was killed and another was injured in the attack. This was one of two related incidents in this area on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of the New People's Army (NPA).
