10/03/2018: Assailants attacked an Afghan Local Police (ALP) checkpoint in Balghi, Samangan, Afghanistan. At least 12 people, including eight ALP personnel and four assailants, were killed and eight police officers and an unknown number of assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
