Incident Summary:

09/11/2018: Assailants attacked security checkposts in Maywand district, Kandahar, Afghanistan. At least 61 people, including 57 assailants and four police officers, were killed and 27 people, including 16 assailants and 11 police officers, were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
