09/19/2018: Assailants abducted 'Ali Ahmad 'Abdallah al-Shar'abi, a journalist and political activist, from his residence in Sanaa, Amanat Al Asimah, Yemen. Al-Shar'abi was tortured before being released on November 28, 2018. Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the victim was targeted because he planned "to carry out chaos in Sanaa."
