Incident Summary:

08/28/2018: Assailants armed with firearms attacked Army personnel as they were attempting to defuse two roadside explosive devices in Gulumba Gana, Borno, Nigeria. Three assailants were killed and one soldier and an unknown number of assailants were wounded in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
