Incident Summary:

07/23/2018: Assailants abducted Eusebio Meniano, a Civilian Active Auxiliary (CAA) member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU), from his residence in Hinapuyan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Meniano was released later the same day following the payment of a ransom. This was one of two related incidents in the area on this date. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and demanded food in exchange for Eusebio Meniano.
