07/09/2018: Assailants detonated an explosive device and opened fire on Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Tarhwali, Kanker, Chhattisgarh, India. Two BSF officers were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist).

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
