07/06/2018: An assailant attempted to ram a vehicle into a volunteer at the campaign headquarters of Republican Representative Lee Zeldin in Nesconset, New York, United States. There were no reported casualties in the attack. An Anti-Trump extremist, identified as Martin Astrof, claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that he "wanted to kill supporters of President Donald Trump and U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin" and reportedly made remarks about immigration policies at the scene.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims.
