Incident Summary:

07/06/2018: Assailants attacked a station of the Great Man-Made River (GMR) Project in Al-Hasawana, Kufra, Libya. At least seven workers were abducted in the attack. The hostages included three Libyan nationals, three Filipino nationals, and one South Korean national. The three Libyan hostages were later released while the fate of the four remaining hostages is unknown. Muslim extremists claimed responsibility for the incident.
