06/01/2018: Assailants attacked Mullah Karam Begzad, a pro-government militia commander, in Shirin Tagab district, Faryab, Afghanistan. Begzad was killed and three of his security guards were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
