05/27/2018: A female suicide bomber detonated explosives at a house in Mashamari. Konduga, Borno, Nigeria. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Mashamari on this day. In addition to two assailants, at least four civilians were killed and seven others were wounded across the attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
