Incident Summary:
05/20/2018: An explosive device was discovered and defused targeting an ATM at a hotel along Yarang Road in Anoru, Mueang Pattani, Pattani, Thailand. There were no reported casualties. This was one of 18 related attacks that took place in different parts of southern Thailand on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
