05/16/2018: Assailants ambushed members of a cooperative looking to assess farmland for rice cultivation near Ikpayongo, Benue, Nigeria. Six people were killed, including two teachers, and four others were wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
