05/16/2018: Assailants threw grenades at the residence of Mohamed Abukar Ja'ffar, a commander of the Mogadishu Stabilization Force and former Hawl Wadag District Commissioner, in Waberi, Mogadishu, Banaadir, Somalia. Two security personnel and a civilian were injured the blasts. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
