05/12/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting a federal police patrol in Maktab Khalid, Kirkuk, Iraq. At least one police officer was killed and two others were injured in the blast. This was one of two related bombings targeting security personnel that occurred in Al-Khan on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
