04/00/2018: Sometime between April 1, 2018 and April 30, 2018, assailants abducted Abshir Nur Hussein Malis, a prominent elder, in Gamboole, Middle Shebelle, Somalia. Malis was executed on July 2, 2018. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that Abshir Nur Hussein Malis was targeted for participating in the selection of parliamentary members.
