04/14/2018: Assailants opened fire on Gul Ahmad Grani, the Shahr-e Safa district police chief, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Grani was killed and a guard was wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to the Taliban.
