04/07/2018: Security forces identified and engaged assailants attempting to extort money from civilians in San Vicente, Northern Samar, Philippines. There were no reported casualties and two assailants were arrested following the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People’s Army (NPA).
