02/23/2018: An explosives-laden motorcycle detonated near the vehicle of Muhammad Shakeel, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) deputy director, along Ring Road in Dir Colony neighborhood, Peshawar, Pakistan. At least three people were injured in the blast. The Jamaat-ul-Ahrar faction of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
