Incident Summary:

02/19/2018: Assailants attacked the Government Girls Science and Technology College in Dapchi, Yobe, Nigeria. At least 112 civilians, mostly students, were abducted in the attack. Five students died while in captivity and 106 students were released on March 21, 2018. The fate of one Christian student, identified as Leah Sharibu, remains unknown. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the incident.
