Incident Summary:

02/18/2018: Assailants opened fire on a Special Action Force (SAF) police convoy in San Jose, Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines. At least six SAF members were injured in the clash. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in response to security operations targeting the group as well as security personnel mistreating local civilians.
