02/18/2018: An explosive device detonated targeting a 57th Infantry Battalion truck in Meta, Datu Unsay, Maguindanao, Philippines. Five soldiers were injured in the blast. The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in response to recent military operations targeting the group in the areas of Datu Salibo, Datu Unsay, and Datu Saudi.
