Incident Summary:
01/27/2018: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated outside of a police station in San Lorenzo, Esmeraldas, Ecuador. At least 28 people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents and the National Liberation Army of Colombia (ELN).

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
