01/22/2018: Assailants attacked a National Gendarmerie post in Kokoloukou, Say, Tillaberi, Niger. At least two officers were killed and seven officers were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Muslim extremists may have carried out the attack.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
