Incident Summary:

01/04/2018: Assailants stopped a bus and abducted three guards of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) provincial chief along the Farah-Herat Highway in Bala Buluk district, Farah, Afghanistan. The hostages were killed shortly thereafter in Pusht Rod district. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
