12/27/2017: An explosive device detonated at Perekryostok supermarket in Saint Petersburg, Russia. At least 18 people were injured in the blast. Dmitry Lukyanenko claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that he carried out the attack due to a "hatred towards the organizers and followers of the psychological training sessions." The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) also claimed responsibility for the incident; however, the veracity of the claim could not be verified.
