Incident Summary:
10/30/2017: An explosive device detonated near Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers close to Gurguray Checkpost in Sarokai, South Waziristan district, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. At least one soldier was killed and another soldier was injured in the blast. The Halqa-e-Mehsud faction of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the killing of local tribal members by the military.
