10/23/2017: A suicide bomber detonated and two other assailants opened fire targeting police personnel in Tawaleb, Old City, Mosul, Nineveh, Iraq. In addition to the three assailants, an unknown number of police officers were killed and injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
